The closing ceremony of the Diaghilev Festival in Perm will feature a unique concert, "Rameau. Sound of Light - 2," performed by Teodor Currentzis and the musicAeterna orchestra at the House of Music (Shpagin Factory). The program is based on the music of the French Baroque era: works by the great French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau. Audiences will hear excerpts from the operas "Castor and Pollux," "Les Indes Galantes," "Platea," "Les Fêtes de Hebe," and "Zaïs." This evening will feature not only the musicAeterna orchestra and choir, but also the musicAeterna Dance troupe, as well as guest artists and graduates of the Anton Rubinstein Academy. Currentzis and the musicAeterna Symphony Orchestra first turned to the work of Rameau back in 2011. That program received a wide response and was performed in the best halls of the world.
