MusicAeterna is an orchestra founded by conductor and composer Teodor Currentzis. The history of the group began in 2004 in Novosibirsk. For 6 years it was the orchestra of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater and at the same time gave concerts in Russia and abroad. Only in 2011 the group became a truly independent creative unit.

The group gave its first concert on January 31, 2005 and considers this date to be the day of its foundation. The orchestra of Teodor Currentzis quickly gained popularity among listeners thanks to the virtuoso playing of the musicians and the conductor's ability to interpret musical works so that they are close and understandable even to an inexperienced listener. Such a large line-up allows them to masterfully perform even the most complex and large-scale works that are rarely included in the repertoires of symphony orchestras.
