The musicAeterna orchestra, founded in 2004 in Novosibirsk under the direction of the outstanding conductor Teodor Currentzis, is one of the most vibrant and innovative ensembles on the world stage. Since 2019, the orchestra has been based in St. Petersburg, continuing to win the hearts of listeners with its unique interpretations of classical works and modern experiments in music.

Since its debut at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Novosibirsk, the musicAeterna orchestra has rapidly gained recognition not only in Russia but also abroad. The musicians of the orchestra conquered London, performing at the ACT2005 & New Russian Arts festival with the operas Dido and Aeneas by Purcell and the Fourteenth Symphony by Shostakovich. These performances became the basis for successful recordings on the Alpha label, including the famous Mozart's Requiem.

musicAeterna's repertoire includes both classical works and modern productions, such as the ballet Russian Seasons by Leonid Desyatnikov and the opera Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi. The group actively collaborates with the world's leading theaters, including the Paris Opera and the Bolshoi Theater.
