The musicAeterna "ESPERIA" concert will take place in Moscow, at the Zaryadye Concert Hall, located at: st. Varvarka, 6, building 4. This modern space is renowned for its pure sound and special atmosphere, which is perfectly suited for events of this level.
About the concert
The "ESPERIA" program by the musicAeterna choir under the direction of Teodor Currentzis is not just a performance, but a true immersion into the world of sacred music from different eras. The title refers to the ancient Greek expression "where the sun sets" and reflects the evening service, where traditions from different times and cultures meet.
This evening will feature medieval hymns and works by contemporary composers, creating a rare musical dialogue. Ancient instruments play a prominent role: the Cretan lyre, Gothic harp, and organetto, joined by the accordion and piano. Dance elements and lighting design make the event even more vibrant.
At the end, guests will hear Teodor Currentzis's work "Morning Chant," symbolizing the beginning of a new day. There will also be an improvisation on noise instruments, "Bikapo", created by the Russian avant-garde composer German Vinogradov.
