Description

Philharmonic-2 is a concert complex of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic, located in the Olympic Village area of Moscow. The building was built for the 1980 Summer Olympics. After the Olympics, Philharmonic-2 was under the jurisdiction of Rosconcert. Many famous contemporary artists and composers have performed on the stage of the concert complex. In 2014, the building was transferred to the Moscow Philharmonic.

The building of Philharmonic-2 houses 4 concert halls, three rehearsal spaces, administrative offices and a café. The main stage of the concert complex is the S.V. Rachmaninoff Concert Hall, which was opened on December 23, 2014. The hall has a capacity of 1,040 seats. After reconstruction in 2014, the main hall of Philharmonic-2 was significantly transformed and today it meets modern artistic and acoustic requirements. The stage here can be easily transformed for dance, ballet and theatre performances, and full-fledged theatre wings distinguish the stage from other concert venues. Denis Matsuev, Yuri Bashmet, Dmitry Hvorostovsky and other famous artists have performed in the S.V. Rachmaninov Concert Hall.

The Small Hall of the Philharmonic-2 can accommodate 200 spectators. Comfortable seats in the hall are arranged in an amphitheater, which makes it convenient to watch any event on the stage. Much attention is paid to holding concerts for children, in which famous artists, actors and lecturers participate.

The Games Hall of the concert complex is a play area for children, which can accommodate up to 60 people. In the Games Hall, serious musicians behave completely frivolously, returning to childhood. In a playful way, little visitors get acquainted with music and immerse themselves in its harmony. There are plenty of toys and soft pillows to play with. In the Games Hall you can laugh, clap your hands, draw, learn everything that is interesting.

Opera and drama performances, musicals, art lectures, concert recordings and live broadcasts from the P.I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall can be viewed in the Philharmonic-2 Virtual Hall. This hall is designed for 150 people. The concert complex is not inferior to other leading venues in the country in terms of artistic and creative components of its programs. Concert halls allow guests and residents of the capital to touch classical music performed by world-famous musicians and performers.
